Carlos Esteves is a seasoned facilitator and adult learning professional with more than two decades of experience guiding learners at every level—from frontline staff to senior executives. Over the course of his career, he has delivered more than 2,500 workshops across sectors such as government, healthcare, finance, education, non-profits, and multinational corporations.
His areas of expertise include workplace learning focused on professional growth, psychological safety, and inclusive leadership. Carlos frequently facilitates sessions on mental health at work, resilience, stress management, leadership development, respect in the workplace, cross-cultural communication, and customer service. He is also qualified in the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) and has supported career development through counselling and coaching.
Previously, as Senior Staff Facilitator with TELUS Health Learning, Carlos was responsible for delivering Canada’s first mental health leadership program for people leaders. He also created Train-the-Trainer initiatives, advised on instructional design, and worked with high-profile organizations including Public Health Ontario, Canadian Armed Forces, CBC/Radio-Canada, Export Development Canada, and the Ontario Ministry of the Solicitor General.
Carlos holds a Master of Education and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Toronto, along with certificates in Adult Training and Development, Workplace Mental Health Leadership (Queen’s University), Cross-Cultural Orientation (TMC), and Diversity & Inclusion in Education (University of Glasgow via Coursera). He has also taught in adult education programs at OISE, the Schulich Executive Education Centre, and Centennial College.
Known for his learner-focused style, Carlos tailors training to each organization’s needs, fostering inclusive and safe learning environments. He blends real-world scenarios with interactive methods to ensure learning is engaging and practical. His professional background in IT service management, customer advocacy, and quality leadership adds a strong customer-centered perspective to his facilitation.
Outside of work, Carlos enjoys historical fiction, keeping up with adult education research, running year-round 10k routes, and learning the sport of curling.
