Paul Kelly began his career studying traditional film and photography at Ryerson University before transitioning into the world of digital design. After graduating, he worked with Toronto Image Works, where he was introduced to Adobe Photoshop—an experience that launched him into a career in graphic design. He soon established his own freelance business, offering design, production, and digital illustration services to a wide range of clients.
As his expertise grew, Paul shifted into teaching the very tools he was using daily. He became an Adobe Certified Expert in Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign, later advancing to the status of Adobe Certified Instructor. Over the past two decades, he has taught full-time programs at York University, Seneca College, Humber College, and continues to teach with Sheridan College’s School of Continuing and Professional Studies.
Paul is also a certified CompTIA CTT+ Classroom Trainer and has been recognized as an Adobe Certified Expert across all versions of the Adobe Creative Suite. Known for blending technical knowledge with practical, real-world insights, he makes complex design tools accessible and engaging for learners.
Outside of teaching, Paul remains active in the industry, providing freelance design, layout, and production services for diverse clients.
